Update

I cannot believe it has been over a month since my last update. I have some cards to upload to my blog - will do so when I can locate my camera. I have started a new job at a scrapbooking wholesaler - heaven.
It is a long weekend here - Queen's birthday - which is strange seen her birthday is in April. Anyway, Mum and I went to the movies today and saw Sex and the City - loved it, it was funny and sad, but had a nice ending.
till next time

What's been happening

This week I have been busy organising the catering for a dog show that uses our school oval. The dog show is tomorrow - I have to be at the school at 6:30am, hopefully it wont be too cold. When the dog show is finished then it will be finalising the mothers day stall for Friday. I will post photos tomorrow on some of the gifts I have made for the children to purchase. They are so cute!!!

Today I spent the day with my Mum at the Stitches and Craft show at the convention centre at southbank - we had a lovely time, the only complaint was the number of beading stands that was there, 50 percent of stalls would have been aimed at beading. Not going to start that craft - I have enough creative addictions already. We both did really well, apart from entry Mum spent $10 on a super absorbent chamois - we actually went halves because it was 2 for $20 and I bought a cute little bag for $34 for my Xyron design runner to go in.

This week I applied for a job online at a local scrapbooking shop, I desperately want the job, and am waiting patiently for the phone to ring to give me an interview time - what's the bet the phone will ring when I am having a skin cancer check on Wednesday and I am half naked - embarrasing.

Another cute card, Using Old Olive, Rose Red and Very Vanilla card - I used Versamark Ink and used stampin'pastels to colour the Heartfelt thanks image, I then used Basic Black Ink to outline stamp the image. The Rose Red border has been punched using the slit punch - gives a great edge. The card has been folded into 3 to give a different look.

Here is a card I made last night, I used the Fishy
Friends stamp set, Brilliant blue card, very vanilla card, and twill ribbon.
I stamped the image with Stazon Ink, and coloured the Jelly fish using the Watercolour crayons and edged with gray marker. I think he is so cute - and such an easy card to make.

What a week!!!

This week has been extremely busy - so many birthdays - there has been 10 in 4 days including my own. I don't think there is any other week of the year that we have so many birthdays and most of them are friends of the childrens and mine.
I have also joined Stampin'up as an independant demonstrator which is very exciting - now I have to wait for the kit to arrive to start. At present I am working part time at McDonalds to pay for my stamping/scrapbooking addiction - for the past 2 weeks we have had no airconditioning out back which is not good in summer in Queensland, luckily it is not excessively hot outside, but I do need to leave macca's to save my sanity and get my creative mojo back.

This is a card I made for my daughter's friend for her birthday, I stamped the flower image and then stamped an outline stamp over the top in Pink, I used my new Quickutz Cookie Cutter dies to give the flower a scalloped edge mat and also inked around the edge with a dark brown chalk ink pad. The pink card has 3 rows of ribbon adhered to it and the happy birthday has been stamped on the cream card stock and also inked around the edge in the brown chalk inkpad. A quick card to make. Sorry the card is on it's side but I haven't worked out how to flip the image. I will take the next photo the right way around.
